Vacancy: User Interface Graphic Designer (Short-term Contract)

Sea Monster is looking for a mid-level UI Designer with some illustration talent to join our production crew for a four-month contract from 1 October to 31 January.

You should have at least 2 to 3 years of full time graphic designer or serious freelance experience. You should be comfortable with a variety of design styles and highly proficient in all the usual tools of the trade (Photoshop and Illustrator), including vector-based designs.

Preferred characteristics and skills:

  • A graphic design degree, or equivalent experience in the industry
  • Photoshop (essential)
  • Illustrator (essential)
  • Adobe XD
  • InDesign
  • Experience working on websites and/or apps will be advantageous

The Work Ethic:

You need to have good communication skills and enjoy working closely with a small team. This position is fairly varied and non-routine, and often involves high-pressure situations and deadlines. You would need to be very comfortable working autonomously as well as closely with other team members, and enjoy multi-tasking and problem solving on all levels. Experience with the agile method of project management would be an advantage.
