The aim was to authentically connect a new generation to our brand and brand purpose, empowering them with positive money messages in a culturally relevant context.

As part of achieving that ambition, Ackermans launched the Character Shop App to engage and reward their user base with a mix of incentives, designed to highlight the Character proposition and drive sales within the targeted market segment.

This year the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation decided that they wanted to add a gamification element to the challenge and approached Sea Monster to create an application available on iOS and Android as well as a website with some awesome new graphics.
