Glenn joined local South African EdTech industry colleagues Alethea van Wyk of CapaCITi1000; Jamie Martin of Akademos; Rapelang Rabana of Rekindle Learning; Justin Reilly of Mwabu South Africa and Riaz Moola of Hyperion Development in presenting the agenda “The Launch of Africa’s First EdTech Incubator: How EdTech Entrepreneurs are trying to Solve Africa’s Education Problems

It was appropriate that the agenda topic coincided with June 16th, the 40th anniversary of the Soweto Uprising, when South African youth challenged the regime in a fight for fair and inclusive education. The African EdTech Incubator is launching at the Bandwidth Barn in Cape Town and with driven by CiTi and is intend to spur greater innovation in education and skills development from the Western Cape to the wider continent, providing entrepreneurs with advice and introductions to funding they need to take their solutions forward.

The international EdTech community welcomed the announcement and it turned out to be a highly successful event for our team driving innovation and education.
